The Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEU) program is a voluntary Victorian government initiative. It incentivises Victorians to make energy-efficient improvements to their homes and businesses. This helps cut power bills and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Energy-efficient products installed under the VEU program reduce energy demand and the need to build new energy infrastructure. As a result, energy savings from the VEU program are expected to reduce Victorian electricity consumption by 7% in 2025 and avoid $3.8 billion in energy costs.
Under new emission reduction targets announced for the program, VEU will lock in 28 million tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions savings for Victoria between 2022 and 2025 – equivalent to taking more than 8.5 million cars off the road for a year.
How the Victorian Energy Upgrades program is run

- Register of Products. Products listed in this register may be installed under the Victorian Energy Upgrade program.
- Register of Accredited Persons. This register lists all persons, be they individuals or companies, that have been accredited to create VEECs in the VEU program.
